FLOTUS addresses supporters in Orlando, FL this week
This week with FLOTUS includes threats, farm fundraisers, Let’s Move!, a battleground state and speculation over what would happen if First Lady Michelle Obama decided to run for political office.
A DC police officer threatened to shoot First Lady Michelle Obama. According to The Raw Story…
“A D.C. police officer who worked as a motorcycle escort for White House officials is under investigation for allegedly threatening to shoot First Lady Michelle Obama.
The Washington Post reported that the officer allegedly told his colleagues he wanted to shoot the First Lady and described the firearm he would use.
The officer, who has not been identified, was moved to administrative duty amid the investigation.”
Other reports also state that the officer pulled out his cell phone to show a picture of the firearm he would use to do the shooting. In a perfect world this officer’s career would be over. However, with the poor history local police departments have disciplining their own I'm skeptical. Will the officer simply be reassigned only to resurface years later when he unloads on some other unsuspecting citizen? I'm also curious and would like to know the officer’s identity and backstory. Have we reached a point in this country where animosity and intolerance are so great that people need to screened and placed in jobs according to their political affiliation? What happened to respect the office regardless of the person is the seat? Did we not learn anything from 2000 to 2008?
