Sister P, Contributor A couple weeks ago, we read around the web that Mrs. O was taping a commercial near Georgetown University. Well, we found it online this week and it is oh, so cute.
Did you catch Mrs. O getting "shushed", funny!
This video comes right as parents are making summer camp and summer activity plans for their children. I wanted my 6 year old daughter to play tennis however she has not shown any interest at all. After seeing this video, she now wants to try it. Never underestimate the power Mrs. O has on our daughters!
Tennis may be an option you never considered for your child, but now may be the time. After reading a little in the "Youth" section of the USTA website, I found that this is an effort to promote the changes they've made that make the sport less exclusive by increasing the number of children that can participate and requiring fewer expensive tournaments for those trying to make it to the top levels of competition. There are even tips about selecting "child size" balls and racquets.

Again, Mrs. O lends her celebrity status to help us get children moving!

Love it, love it !!! I love the First Lady but I can't lie it was hilarious seeing her getting shushed by that little girl. Mrs Obama for President !!!!
I love the Lets Move commericals. I saw one the other day about the little girl running throughout the house trying to find her mother's wallet. It was such a cute way to get your kids EXERCISING!
If they cared about getting children moving, they would put PE and back in the public schools. That's where kids learn about sports, team work, physical fitness. Not by running around the house looking for a wallet. Even calisthenics classes, which are inexpensive, could do wonders for kids. I feel like the government is slashing the budget, but coming up with gimmicks to make you think they are doing something to help. American kids are getting fatter and sicker, and they need real education about how to eat and exercise properly.
