On Wednesday afternoon in the Rose Garden of the White House POTUS & FLOTUS celebrated Cinco de Mayo. Nearly 150 years ago, at the Battle of Puebla, a band of Mexican patriots faced off against a massive European army and won a victory that still inspires the world to this day.
FLOTUS, as we all remember, made her first solo trip as First Lady to Mexico signaling the importance of US-Mexican relations in the Obama Administration. FLOTUS wore a signature sleeveless springy dress. They were joined by Secretaries Solis, Salazar & Napolitano. This was another celebration of Latin culture by the Obamas.
