This is Gina. I would like to just say that the views expressed by the hosts of Our East Wing do not necessarily reflect the views of the Editors or contributors of Michelle Obama Watch. BWHAHAH! I was sitting in the control room thinking "OH LAWD!" When they started talking about Food Deserts.
This week's show was about healthy kids. Christie sat down with Raw Bella of Rawbella.com at the Beets Living Food Cafe on 5th St. in Austin to talk about ways parents can guide their children towards healthy food choices.
Jennifer Graham also discussed her journey to a raw food lifestyle. I purchased three slices of raw cheesecake. I'm still making my way through them. They were really good. So were the cranberry cookies.
The we got to the part of the show where they read comments from the readers of THIS BLOG. WHOO SAAA! Take a cleansing breath. They discussed comments from CollegeProf, Rikyrah, and .... Lavaughn. It was interesting because their views differed starkly from some of yours so I guess its fair to say that the show and the Blog are developing separate identities.
This is an abbreviated version because YouTube has a 10 minute cutoff, but the entire show will air here in about a week.
As you can see, we're improving sound and lighting each week. We also jazzed up the set a little bit with plans to add more each week. if you are wondering where Episode 2 clips are, I fell behind during the last week of script frenzy, so I have to go back and upload those segments. Episode 2 was filmed at Sunshine Community Gardens.
